Full day excursion to Druskininkai (8 hrs) Transfer Vilnius to Druskininkai – the resort of Lithuania. Druskininkai is located about 100 km from Trakai. The picturesque Dzukija national park area is famous for its pine forests, rivers, rivulets and mineral water spa resort Druskininkai. The Druskininkai sightseeing tour includes the history of the town, mineral water springs, treatment centers, river Nemunas. Free time in town for lunch or visit to the Aqua Park or visit to Snow Arena. Afternoon visit to the Soviet sculpture park in Grutas forest, a unique opportunity to return to the past. After restoring Lithuania's independence, most of the Statues of Communism leaders were pulled down, but now they are collected in one place – Grutas Park at the approaches to the town Druskininkai. You will have a fabulous opportunity to witness the awe-inspiring life in Soviet times – the history, traditions and art. After the tour - transfer back to Vilnius. |

NIDA The Curonian Spit is a 98 km long, thin, curved sand-dune spit that separates the Curonian Lagoon from the Baltic Sea coast. Its southern portion lies within Kaliningrad Region, Russia and its northern within southwestern Lithuania. The Curonian Spit is home to the highest moving (drifting) sand dunes in Europe. Their average height is 35 meters, but some attain a height of 60 meters. |
PALANGA One of the most popular resorts in Lithuania, Palanga has been listed in the "Hot List” by the British Sunday Times. The list completed by Sunday Times Travel reveals Europe’s 20 best beaches for sun and sea for the summer of 2010. Palanga is portrayed as “a cracking little resort town with a white, sandy beach, pine forests, sand dunes and fizzing night-life” – a perfect description of Lithuania’s most popular holiday destination. ACTIVITIES
Hiking tour „At sunrise" An exclusive tour for those who want to experience the pulse of Curonian Spit‘s nature. You’ll start walking at 5 o'clock, admiring the nature of the peninsula, walk along the Curonian Lagoon shores, observe the waking birds, and step into the forests, where elk, deer and wild boar hide. Canoe tour „Dead Dunes" This is a unique water route, because the largest part of it lies by the Naglių nature reserve, where walking is forbidden. In the beginning of the tour we will paddle towards the old Pervalka lighthouse which is situated in the water. After having passed the Žirgų (Horses‘) Cape we will enjoy the scenic landscapes of the Dead Dunes and reach the Naglių Cape where we will have a picnic. Afterwards we will pass the legendary Drimzako Bay and reach the Avies Kulno (Sheep‘s heel) Cape. From here we will be able to see Europe's biggest colony of great cormorants and grey herons: over 3,000 pairs of these birds breed here. The tour will end in Juodkrantė, from where we will return to Nida by bus. Sailing trip „Wind of the Curonian Lagoon" Come adrift from active leisure and get submerged into sailing! During this trip you will experience sailing which was one of the main transportation means for the Curonian people. The trip can be organized on an authentic curonian sailing ship called „Kurėnas".
